Macau.- Gaming law expert Ant\u00f3nio Lobo Vilela has announced he is leaving his role as senior advisor to the city\u2019s Secretary for Economy and Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Macau News Agency, his departure is voluntary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vilela, who began his current role in 2016, said: \u201cI have been presented with a number of opportunities which are very interesting to me and which I would like to pursue”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The legal expert was also a senior legal advisor to the commission for the first public tender to grant casino concessions and to the think-tank in charge of co-drafting the gaming law that liberalised the local gaming market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vilela recently\u00a0published\u00a0the Macau Gaming Law: Annotated with Comments, a four-volume work detailing the two-decades-long development of the local gaming law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
