Macau.- Judiciary Police have arrested four people in Macau for their alleged involvement in cross-border gaming in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those detained are suspected of having running a family online betting syndicate based in Macau and mainland China. It’s alleged that the operations generated profits of at least MOP$100m (US$12.5m) since 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Police arrested three Macau residents and one mainland China resident at offices and apartments in Nape and Taipa. The three locals were family members of the suspected syndicate leader, who was arrested in Zhuhai in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said that the group’s activities included live streaming gaming in Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia and other countries in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
