{"id":12377,"date":"2020-12-03T21:31:08","date_gmt":"2020-12-03T21:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=12377"},"modified":"2026-04-23T23:30:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T02:30:35","slug":"singapore-resorts-accept-government-vouchers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-resorts-accept-government-vouchers","title":{"rendered":"Singapore resorts accept government vouchers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Marina Bay Sands and Resort World Sentosa have launched special deals for Singaporeans to experience non-gaming attractions with subsidies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore.- Singapore\u2019s Resort World Sentosa (RWS) has announced it is accepting government vouchers as part of payment at the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a press release issued to promote its staycation deals, the operator said the \u201cthe value-for-money promotions and packages can be purchased using SGD$100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers from 1 December 2020 to 30 June 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marina Bay Sands, the other major operator in Singapore, has also been accepting SingapoRediscovers vouchers since November, according to a publication on the company\u2019s website. The vouchers can be used at its attractions, museums, rides, and to pay for part of a stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vouchers are part of government efforts to aid the tourism industry. In July, three government agencies launched the <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-launches-new-tourism-campaign\" target=\"_blank\">country\u2019s largest domestic tourism campaign<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in history in an attempt to boost local tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign had a SGD45m (US$32.5m) budget and was a joint initiative from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Enterprise Singapore and Sentosa Development Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the campaign, each Singapore citizen aged over 18 received SGD$100 (US$74.98) worth of vouchers, which can be used to purchase tickets to attractions and book hotel stays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vouchers cannot be used to play in casinos but can be used at food and beverage outlets, theme parks and attractions in the resort.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marina Bay Sands and Resort World Sentosa have launched special deals for Singaporeans to experience non-gaming attractions with subsidies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":12379,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Marina Bay Sands and Resort World Sentosa are accepting government-issued SingapoRediscovers Vouchers for non-gaming attractions and services, explicitly excluding casino play.
