It plans to finish the fa\u00e7ade by December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Macau.- Sands China&#8217;s president, Wilfred Wong, has confirmed that the Londoner Macau will finally open its doors to the public in February 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hotel, casino, retail and food and beverage outlet areas at the US$2bn transformation of the former Sands Cotai Central will all be inaugurated at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wong told the press that Sands China aims to continuously increase its non-gaming areas and has added a concert hall and various dining venues to the old Sands Cotai Central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operator had previously hinted the official opening of the Londoner would <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/londoner-to-open-when-visitation-shows-increase\" target=\"_blank\">depend on visitor numbers<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in Macau increasing. Now Wong has told media he expects hotel occupancy in the city to pass 40 per cent in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exterior wall and entrance are still under construction. The company has estimated the exterior will be <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/the-londoner-macau-interior-to-be-completed-in-december\" target=\"_blank\">completed in December<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. It has been designed to resemble the architecture of the British Houses of Parliament, including a replica of the clock tower that houses Big Ben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The casino will have capacity for up to 450 tables and 2,000 slot machines.
