Japan.- The Nagasaki prefecture has announced a new timetable for the process to select a private partner for its bid to host an integrated resort in Sasebo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GGR Asia reported that by winter 2021 at the latest, Nagasaki wants to have established an IR development plan to be able to submit a formal proposal to the national government in spring 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japan\u2019s central government has said it will issue at least three IR licences, with local governments able to bid to host the resorts until April 28, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nagasaki\u2019s new timetable is part of a public consultation on the prefecture\u2019s revised IR implementation policy, which is open until December 20. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revised measures include some changes designed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and others to prevent gambling harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
