The Commonwealth Casino Commission will meet on Tuesday to discuss IPI’s failure to comply with its extended payroll request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Northern Mariana Islands.- The Commonwealth Casino Commission (CCC) will meet on Tuesday (November 24) to analyse Imperial Pacific International’s (IPI) delay in complying with an extended payroll request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commission has filed a complaint against IPI for alleged violations of its casino license agreement, regulations and orders. One of the latter was to put up a payroll reserve, which IPI has not yet complied with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tuesday meeting will discuss whether the operator’s casino licence should be suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commission Chairman Edward Deleon Guerrero has said that if IPI did not comply with the requirements of any suspension, it could result in its licence being revoked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guerrero said the Commission is also thinking about conducting an administrative hearing regarding in December or January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The construction work on IPI\u2019s casino and resort has been halted due to administrative issues. This week the company presented a list of four engineers on record working on the project to the local Department of Public Works, but did not include the job contracts for those professionals so work has not resumed<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IPI has been having problems due to complaints from former construction managers that accuse the company of operating with disregard to the building code and safety regulations. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
