Macau.- The Macau government has revealed that the bill revising the SAR’s gaming laws will be submitted to the Legislative Assembly by the last quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The revision has to be complete before the retender process for Macau gaming rights, with the six casino operators’ licences expiring in June 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next two years will also see authorities update requirements for high-amount transaction reports designed to prevent money laundering and evaluate enhanced due diligence measures for online client transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2021 policy document has been presented to the Legislative Assembly by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng. It outlines a plan to start auditing junket operators between the first to last quarter of 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inspections will be conducted on the operational procedures enforced by junkets on their accounts at local casinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
