Japan.- Gaming company Universal Entertainment Corp saw revenues for the first\u00a0nine\u00a0months fall by\u00a017.5\u00a0per cent\u00a0year-on-year to JPY77.14bn (US$735m). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company attributes the fall to lower revenue at its casino resort Okada Manila, which has been heavily impacted by the restrictions imposed by the government to contain the spread of Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite recording\u00a0an operating profit\u00a0for the reporting period, net loss has grown as some\u00a0facilities at Okada Manila\u00a0that have not been used during the suspension of operations\u00a0were reclassified from selling, general and administrative expenses, to an extraordinary loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
