Japan.- Osaka Prefecture expects to receive the approval to host the 2025 World Expo after the general meeting of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), headquartered in Paris, on December 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting had originally been planned for June 2020 but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon receiving approval, the government will begin recruitment activities, targeting approximately 150 countries. It will also make a cabinet decision on the Expo Basic Policy by the end of the year. The operating body, the 2025 Japan International Exposition Association, will announce its basic plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
