Every second machine will be deactivated to keep a distance between players.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crown will also be allowed to open ten designated VIP areas, each with a maximum capacity of ten customers.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Players will only be allowed to use the facility for 90 minutes a day and no smoking will be allowed. The casino must have a &#8220;Covid-19 Marshal\u201d for each area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crown said select retail and food and beverages outlets have recommenced operations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ken Barton, Crown\u2019s chief executive officer, said: \u201cWe have been working for some time with the Victorian Government and health authorities to determine how we can safely re-open Crown Melbourne and have developed extensive physical distancing and hygiene measures to allow re-opening in a safe manner.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crown is also aiming to open its new casino and resort in Barangaroo, Sydney in December, although the inquiry held by the New South Wells Independent Liquor &amp; Gaming Authority (ILGA) has not yet decided if the company is <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-to-face-austrac-investigation\" target=\"_blank\">suitable<\/a><\/em><\/strong> to keep its licence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ILGA\u2019s decision won\u2019t be announced until February 2021.\u00a0The Guardian recently reported <strong><em>ILGA<\/em><\/strong> will hold a meeting on November 18 to discuss the conditions of Crown Sydney\u2019s opening in December.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister responsible for gaming, Victor Dominello, said on Monday that the regulator will consider limiting or restricting the opening of the new venue.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The casino will begin some operations with limited capacity as of November 12<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":11632,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Crown Resorts has secured approval from the Victorian government to recommence limited gaming operations at its Melbourne casino from November 12, implementing stringent capacity restrictions and health protocols.
