It will hold events and seminars for local businesses and create foundational strategies to promote effective business networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The council will comprise representatives from economic bodies, the government and the councils of Nagasaki prefecture and the Kyushu region. The concept was approved at a meeting of the Kyushu Governors\u2019 Association and the Kyushu Regional Strategy Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nagasaki, which is representing the Kyushu region in the race to secure one of three IR licences, has earmarked a 31-hectare site at the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Sasebo city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the prefecture, the project <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasaki-ir-casino\" target=\"_blank\">could generate JPY610 billion<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (US$5.8 billion) to JPY810 billion (US$7.75 billion) in construction-related economic benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the IR is operational, it could generate JPY320 billion (US$3 billion) to JPY420 billion (US$4 billion) through an \u201ceconomic ripple effect\u201d each year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The prefecture plans to establish the body by early 2021 to create networking\u00a0opportunities\u00a0with local businesses.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":11508,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Nagasaki is establishing an IR Promotion Council by early 2021 to bolster its bid for one of Japan's three integrated resort licenses.
