Macau.- The government has denied rumours that it will implement quarantine measures for arrivals from Guangzhou after a new Covid-19 case was registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Huadu district in Guangzhou city has reported a new local Covid-19 local case \u2013 a 40-year-old patient who worked at a designated quarantine hotel for international arrivals. He was confirmed to have been infected by imported cases from the hotel. The patient has been quarantined and received treatment in hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission conducted a mass virus test on over 150,000 residents over the weekend and no more cases were found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, as Macau had previously imposed quarantine to visitors from Qingdao after the news of Covid-19 infections there, there were concerns about the possibility of new restrictions for visitors from Guangzhou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
