Visitors to either city will have no limits on the type of trip they will be allowed to make, be it for tourism or business reasons.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No\u00a0quarantine period will be required\u00a0on arrival. Transit passengers will not be allowed to board the travel bubble flights.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hong Kong government said in a statement:\u00a0\u201cThis milestone arrangement will help revive cross-border air travel between the two aviation hubs, in a safe and progressive way.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore transport minister Ong Ye Kung said he hoped the travel bubble could be \u201ca model and a template for us to forge more such relationships and partnerships\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Industry groups welcomed the announcement and said they hoped similar bubbles would be formed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jason Wong, of Hong Kong\u2019s Travel Industry Council, said he &#8220;would most love to have similar schemes with destinations like Japan, Thailand and South Korea.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHopefully having the first one would help Hong Kong to convince more partners,\u201d he added.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore began\u00a0to <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-relaxes-border-restrictions-for-tourists\" target=\"_blank\">relax restrictions<\/a><\/em><\/strong> for travel in August.
