Russia.- Shambala casino will open in Russia\u2019s Primorye Economic Zone, this Friday after delays related to the pandemic crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The casino already held a soft opening last month, intended to test operations. The RUB$3.5 billion (US$45 million) venue features 5,200 square meters of gaming space, a restaurant, two fast-food restaurants and a theatre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A second phase of development is slated to begin in 2022. Once fully complete, Shambhala will boast a range of hotels, restaurants and bars, a golf course, amusement park, water park, diving club and other family and sports recreation facilities. The total cost is estimated at RUB8 billion (US$104 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operator, Primorsky Krai Development Corporation, expects the casino, which is the second-largest casino to open in the region, will attract 100,000 people to Primorye each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
General Director of Shambhala CJSC, Maxim Smolentsev, said: \u201cWe are not going to become a closed club for the elite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
