The eldest living daughter of the \u201cKing of Gambling\u201d has put forward two experts from a consultancy firm to administer her late father\u2019s estate.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Hong\u00a0Kong.-\u00a0Angela Ho Chiu-yin, the eldest living child of late gambling tycoon Stanley Ho Hung, has applied for a High Court order to name two administrators for her father\u2019s estate.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several of the 17 children Ho fathered during his lifetime have legally registered their interest<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in the SJM founder\u2019s estate, but the court has not yet proceeded.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angela Ho has proposed Tiffany Wong Wing-sze\u00a0and Edward Simon Middleton, both managing directors of Alvarez & Marsal Asia, as administrators.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HK state is to cover the fees of the two experts, which, according to the South China Morning Post, range from HK$2,535 to HK$6,630 (US$327 to US$855) an hour.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angela\u2019s application was made under the Probate and Administration Ordinance, which applies in cases where a person dies without leaving a designated\u00a0executor of their will.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cKing of Gambling\u201d died last May<\/a><\/em><\/strong> at 98 years of age. His personal fortune was estimated at HK$50 billion (US$6.4 billion) at the time of his retirement in 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
