{"id":1040,"date":"2019-11-27T21:31:03","date_gmt":"2019-11-27T21:31:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=1040"},"modified":"2026-04-24T09:53:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T12:53:06","slug":"singapore-deal-casino-cruises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-deal-casino-cruises","title":{"rendered":"Singapore and fly-cruises signed millionaire deal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Royal Caribbean International, the Singapore Tourism Board and Changi Airport Group launched a five-year partnership to promote casino cruises<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore.- Singapore&#8217;s coast will be full of colossal ships for the next five years after a multimillion-dollar partnership signed by casino cruise operator <strong><em>Royal Caribbean International<\/em><\/strong>, the <strong><em>Singapore Tourism Board<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>Changi Airport Group<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deal has been made to promote fly-cruises, according to a written announcement from the city-state\u2019s tourism board: \u201cThis five-year tripartite collaboration, the longest ever, is expected to bring some 623000 international fly-cruise visitors to Singapore, and generate over SGD 430 million (\u20ac285 million) in tourism receipts between end-2019 and 2024\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This announcement involved the news of a five-year Quantum Class deployment in Singapore, which includes one of Asia\u2019s largest cruise ships: Quantum of the Seas. An international cruise ship with a casino onboard would only be allowed to operate the gaming facility when in international waters, not while in harbour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors signed on these cruises are expected to fly into Singapore from Australia, Britain and the United States, to begin their cruise holidays from there. Then, the ship will sail to Penang, in Malaysia; Phuket in Thailand; and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, among other destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to once again partner Royal Caribbean and Changi Airport Group to grow cruising in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
