He made the forecast in comments to the Hong Kong Economic Journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suncity&#8217;s Alvin Chau Cheok Wa, meanwhile, said he expects to see only\u00a0\u201c20 per cent to 30 per cent\u201d of 2019 levels due to the impact of border controls and restrictions on entering casinos in Macau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He predicted that the gaming industry would have to wait until the Chinese New Year holiday in 2021 to see an &#8220;apparent recovery&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China\u2019s State Council has designated October 1 to October 8 inclusive as the Golden Week holiday this year.
