{"id":10063,"date":"2020-09-16T21:41:58","date_gmt":"2020-09-16T21:41:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=10063"},"modified":"2026-04-24T01:47:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T04:47:39","slug":"tabcorp-raises-us167-9m-through-retail-shares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tabcorp-raises-us167-9m-through-retail-shares","title":{"rendered":"Tabcorp raises US$167.9m through retail shares"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The company had already closed the institutional component of its entitlement offer, collecting&nbsp;US$265.7 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.-\u00a0Lotteries and gaming operator Tabcorp Holdings has closed the retail component of its latest\u00a0entitlement offer, raising\u00a0gross proceeds of AU$230 million (US$167.9 million)\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It issued 71 million new Tabcorp shares\u00a0at an issue price of AU$3.25 (US$2.37) each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tabcor\u00a0said approximately 8.5 million retail entitlements were sold between August 24 and\u00a0September 3,\u00a0for which approximately AU$2.7 million (US$1.9 million) was realised by retail shareholders who sold their retail entitlements.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Retail entitlements not taken up by eligible retail shareholders at that stage were offered on Tuesday in a retail shortfall bookbuild.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That marked the final stage of the entitlement offer launched on August 19, from which the company had already <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tabcorp-raises-us265m-from-entitlement-offer\" target=\"_blank\">obtained\u00a0AU$371 million<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (US$265.7 million) through the institutional component.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tabcor&nbsp;was aiming to <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tabcorp-issues-us431-2m-shares-offer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raise a total of&nbsp;AU$600 million<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (US$429.6 million) to pay down existing bank debt facilities and strengthen its balance sheet.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tabcorp&#8217;s Chairman, Paula Dwyer, said: &#8220;The completion of the retail shortfall bookbuild concludes the renounceable entitlement offer announced with our FY20 results.
