Macau.- The chief executive Ho Iat Seng has said he expects gross gaming revenues (GGR) for September to improve slightly on August, but said it was unlikely to be a substantial increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The authorities are hoping for bigger numbers in October’s Golden Week holidays, which begin on October 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ho said: \u201cI don\u2019t think GGR would greatly increase this month. We hope more visitors will arrive in Macau in late September and before Golden Week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe pandemic has had such a great impact around the world that we don\u2019t have any reference figures to predict the situation of Macau\u2019s economy in the second half of this year.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
