Construction of the integrated resort has restarted after being halted for over a month due to Covid-19 measures.

Philippines.- Enrique Razon Jr., chief executive officer (CEO) of Bloomberry Resorts has said he expects the Solaire North IR project to be finished by the end of 2022 or early 2023.

Speaking at the company’s annual stockholder’s meeting, he said work had restarted after the easing of quarantine measures in Metro Manila.

The lockdown impacted the group’s financial results, causing a 38 per cent decline in net income in the first quarter of 2020 compared to 2019.

Located in Quezon City, Solaire North will be the operator’s second IR in the Philippines, after Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City.

The latter was allowed to resume operations on June 15 with reduced capacity and the introduction of safety measures against Covid-19.

Solaire North will boast a 40-storey tower on a 1.5-hectare site that will include hotels, dining outlets, bars and lounges, entertainment facilities and a casino, among other amenities.
