Widus Group pushes casino opening to 2021
The US$247m project in the Philippines’ Clark Freeport Zone has been delayed by the pandemic.
The Philippines.- The Widus Group has confirmed Phase I of its new hotel and casino complex in the Clark Freeport Zone will now not be finished until late 2021 due delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The project, with an estimated cost of PHP12.0 billion (US$247.1 million), had been due to complete for the end of this year.
Following the expansion, the existing Widus Hotel and Casino is to be rebranded as Hann Casino Resort.
Widus Group said it was moving ahead with a second luxury resort in New Clark City. The sources said this project, which is due to be finished in 2024, is still at the planning and design stage.
