W Macau – Studio City appoints Sammy King as general manager

King brings 38 years of hospitality experience across Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Macau.- W Macau – Studio City, part of Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s integrated resort in Cotai, has appointed Sammy King as its new general manager. King will oversee the hotel’s operations, with a focus on guest experiences, operational excellence, business performance and the continued development of the property’s lifestyle and luxury offering.

King brings 38 years of hospitality experience across Mainland China and Hong Kong. He began his career in hotel operations, spending a decade in the field before moving into sales leadership roles. His career includes experience with Marriott International’s luxury brands, including St. Regis and Mandarin Oriental.

King rejoined Marriott International in 2021 as Director of Sales & Marketing at W Hong Kong and was subsequently promoted to Hotel Manager. During his tenure, he was recognised with the Sales Hotelier of the Year award from Stelliers Greater China in 2023, and W Hong Kong also retained its Four-Star rating in the Forbes Travel Guide 2026.

King holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, specialising in Marketing Management, from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
