Vietnam: Phu Quoc United Center officially opens its doors
Vingroup Group has officially opened its $2.8bn integrated resort, Phu Quoc United Center.
Vietnam.- Vingroup Group has announced the opening of its new integrated resort on the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc.
The Phu Quoc United Center includes a 24-hour shopping and entertainment zone, a theme park, a golf course and the Corona Casino & Resort.
The complex holds several national records. It’s Vietnam’s largest entertainment and resort complex and its largest bamboo construction.
The Corona Casino includes 1,000 slot machines, 100 table games, and a 600-seat theatre. It will allow locals to bet, but only those aged over 21 who have a minimum monthly income of at least VND10m (US$445).
Casino operators have recently asked the government to let them enter locals into casino venues to help them recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic travel restrictions.
Vietnamese authorities hope the new Vingroup venue could help drive tourism to the southern island.
