Casinos in Da Nang have been ordered to close until further notice due to a rise in Covid-19 cases.

Vietnam.- The city of Da Nang has closed all non-essential businesses, including casinos, until further notice due to a new wave of Covid-19 cases.

According to the People’s Committee of Danang city, activities including cultural festivals, sports, performance events, religious acts and gaming venues must remain closed to avoid crowds.

Vietnam has reported 2,985 Covid-19 cases, 2,560 of which have recovered, and 35 deaths. 

The Da Nang Casinos affected by the measure are Crowne International Club, Club One Opera, Club 88 and Club 99.

Vietnamese casinos have recently asked the government to ease the rules on locals entering casinos to make up for revenue lost as a result of travel restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
