The Star confirms Brooke Lindsay and Grant Bowie board appointments and adds Donna Isaacs
The new nomination would bring independent representation on The Star’s board to more than 50 per cent.
Australia.- The Star Entertainment Group has confirmed the addition of Brooke Lindsay and Grant Bowie to its board as non-executive directors after they obtained the regulatory and ministerial clearances required for their appointments. The Australian casino operator confirmed the changes in a filing with the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today.
Lindsay’s appointment was announced on April 1, while Bowie was nominated on April 16 pending approvals. Their appointments mean independent directors now make up half of The Star’s board. The company has also nominated Donna Isaacs to join the board as an independent non-executive director, which would make independents the majority. She will initially serve as a board observer while awaiting the required approvals.
Isaacs has a background spanning financial markets, risk, private investment and philanthropy in Australia and the US. Her early career included money-market dealing roles with Mitsubishi Trust, Australia Bank and Macquarie Bank, where she worked with institutional clients on short-term funding and treasury notes.
She later moved into philanthropic and community work as a trustee of the Isaacs Family Foundation, overseeing grant-making and stakeholder engagement. Isaacs holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
The board changes come as The Star continues to work through financial and regulatory pressures across its Australian casino operations. On August 31, the company published its FY2026 results, revealing continued losses despite improvements in some areas.
