TAB Victoria closes 60% of shops in new lockdown
Tabcorp Holdings has shut around 60 per cent of shops in Victoria as the state returns to lockdown due to increased cases in Melbourne.
Australia.- With part of the state of Victoria back in lockdown due to a surge in Covid-19 cases in Melbourne, TAB Victoria has closed around 60 per cent of its outlets just two weeks after reopening.
Around 270 shops located in areas not included in the lockdown have been able to stay open.
Tabcorp said in a statement: “We are doing our best to support our agency and venue network during this period and to keep our customers informed about the closures and alternative ways to bet with us, including the TAB app and website and telephone betting.”
The new measures in Victoria were introduced for six weeks, and have set back the reopening of Crown Resorts’ Melbourne casino.
