South Korea: Paradise City closes after Covid-19 case
The casino may be allowed to reopen on Thursday afternoon.
South Korea.- The Paradise City casino in Incheon has been forced to close again due to a positive case of Covid-19 among staff members.
The closure was mandated on September 1, when disinfection measures began. The venue will remain shut until further notice, but it is expected it may be permitted to reopen on Thursday afternoon.
The worker that tested positive is a chef at a Chinese restaurant at the venue. According to the investigation, he has not been in contact with customers.
Authorities found there were no lapses in Paradise City’s infection protection measures.
The restaurant’s staff is now undergoing a mandatory quarantine. Another 350 other employees are being tested.
Paradise City has been heavily impacted by the pandemic crisis. According to its recent financial report, the hotel reservation rate has fall from around 100 per cent to about 15 per cent.
