SkyCity appoints Brad Burnett as interim CEO for New Zealand
Burnett will replace Callum Mallet, who becomes group CEO.
New Zealand.- SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited has announced through a company filing that Brad Burnett has been appointed as interim chief executive officer for New Zealand, effective from March 9. He will step into the role vacated by Callum Mallet, who will become group chief executive officer, replacing Michael Ahearne.
Burnett is currently SkyCity’s general manager of table games in Auckland, a role he has held since June 2022. Before that, he held various roles, including as group general manager of hotels. The appointment requires regulatory approval.
The casino operator posted full-year revenue of NZ$445.2m (US$276m), down 3.7 per cent when compared to the previous year. Net profit after tax (NPAT) was down 8.5 per cent year-on-year to NZ$66.5m (US$41.23m), while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) were down 5 per cent year-on-year to NZ$101m (US$62.62m).
