Singapore visitor arrivals rebound in July but remain behind 2025 figures
The city-state saw 1.63 million international arrivals in the seventh month of 2026.
Singapore.- International visitor arrivals to Singapore were down 2.9 per cent year-on-year in June to 1.18 million. Despite the year-on-year decrease, it was the highest monthly figure for 2026 so far, driven by mid-year holidays and regional travel demand.
According to data from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), overnight visitors decreased by 5 per cent to 1.16 million, and the average length of stay decreased 3.1 per cent to 3.38 days.
The city-state’s July arrival numbers took the total for the first seven months to 9.8 million, a 1.9 per cent year-on-year decline amid slower arrivals from key markets including Indonesia and India. For the cumulative January–July period, Chinese visitor arrivals rose 4 per cent to 1.9 million. Indonesia maintained its position as the second-largest core market with 1.3 million visitors and Malaysia proved a resilient regional markets, with 732,000 visitors, a 1 per cent year-on-year increase.
The STB had forecast 17 to 18 million international visitors in 2026, with tourism receipts projected to reach S$31bn (US$24.4bn) to S$32.5bn (US$25.6bn).
