Resorts World Sentosa opens new retail area

Some food and beverage outlets are already operational.

Singapore.- Resorts World Sentosa’s (RWS) new lifestyle and retail area Weave opened today (July 1). Some food and beverage outlets are operational while others will open later in 2025.

Covering three connected levels and 20,000 square meters, the project doubles the size of the former Forum at RWS. The space will ultimately feature over 40 lifestyle and premium brands, including new dining options. Food and drink venues so far include Middle Eastern street food brand WeWa, tea chain CHAGEE and Taiwanese food from Din Tai Fung.

RWS’s The Laurus, a new luxury hotel resort developed with Marriott International, will open in the third quarter of the year. Part of The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, it will replace the Hard Rock Hotel which closed on March 2, 2024.

Genting Singapore, promoter and operator of RWS, has published its financial results for the first quarter of 2025. Revenue was SG$626.2m (US$481m), down 20 per cent in year-on-year terms but up 2 per cent when compared to the previous quarter.

The company posted gaming revenue of SG$437.5m (US$336m), down 24 per cent year-on-year but up 5 per cent sequentially. Non-gaming revenue was SG$188.5m (US$145m), down 10 per cent year-on-year and down 4 per cent quarter-on-quarter.
