Primorye expects to have 11 casinos in 2023
Seven companies have expressed interest in investing a total of $1.2 billion
Russia.- The Primorye Gambling Zone in Russia will host at least 11 casinos by 2023. The announcement was made by the regional vice governor Konstantin Shestakov during his recent visit to the future gaming zone.
“We have entered the final stage of constructing two new entertainment complexes with casinos in the gambling zone. An investor from Cambodia is completing an 11-story hotel with a casino and a concert hall. A Russian investor, Shambhala CJSC, will launch its casino tentatively in March 2020. Workers are already finishing the building,” he said.
During the last weeks, seven companies have expressed interest in investing a total of $1.2 billion. There are participants from Cambodia, Russia, South Korea, Hong Kong and Russia.
The project is supervised by Primorsky Krai Development Corporation JSC, which is the company responsible for overseeing the gaming zone. Also, they negotiate with investors and has to be close to the contractor responsible for the construction of transport and engineering infrastructure
According to the executive director, a lot of foreign and local companies are interested in the construction of casinos in the IRC “Primorye”.
“Two sites are currently free for the construction of a hotel complex with a casino, and there are companies interested. We are also negotiating the creation of entertainment facilities. An application has already been submitted for the construction of a golf course and we are establishing contacts with operators of large projects from the global entertainment industry,” he said.
Since the opening, the complex has already been visited by 1.5 million people. It is supposed that by the end of 2021 at least three of the eleven resorts will be operating.
