Philippines.- PhilWeb Corporation has announced a one month extension ‘forced leave’ for 184 employees due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.

The company previously put employees on a one month leave period from April 16 to “ensure adequate availability of resources when the company resumes its business operations.”

In its filing latest filing, the company said leave would now continue through to June 15, although this could be brought forward.

The filing said: “This effective period may be shortened depending on approvals from the relevant task force and regulatory agencies to resume business operations.

“PhilWeb is currently seeking clarification from the relevant government agencies on the resumption of operations in areas transitioning [from Enhanced Community Quarantine] to General Community Quarantine.”
