Paradise Co revenue down 36% in January
Strict Covid-19 measures implemented since late November have affected revenue.
South Korea.- Paradise Co saw casino sales fall 61.8 per cent year-on-year in January to KRW27.28bn (US$24.5m).
The number is a fall of 36.2 per cent from December 2020, when revenue was down by 40 per cent year on year.
Revenue was affected by renewed Covid-19 containment measures in South Korea since late November. The country has extended its second-highest level of alert until February 14.
Paradise Co closed Paradise Walkerhill casino in Seoul in mid-December but kept its other properties open.
Paradise Co runs Paradise City Casino, Korea’s largest foreigner-only casino, as well as Paradise Walkerhill, Busan Casino and Jeju Grand.
