PAGCOR partners with Southeast Asian Games
PAGCOR signed a partnership to sponsor the Southeast Asian Games in The Philippines.
Philippines.- The Philippine casino regulator, the Philippine Gaming and Amusement Corp (PAGCOR), signed a partnership with the local organiser of the 30th Southeast Asian Games. The Games – held every other year – cover multiple sporting disciplines, including those of athletics and also combat sports.
This year’s edition will run from Nov 30 – Dec 11 across the Philippines including in Metro Manila, Subic and Clark.
Furthermore and according to the press release from PAGCOR, the firm will be one of the major sponsors of the event. The agreement was signed by Andrea Domingo, chairman and chief executive of Pagcor, and House of Representatives’ Speaker, Alan Cayetano, chairman of Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee.
The press release also said PAGCOR had granted a total of €14,8 million to the Philippine Sports Commission; for “the rehabilitation of facilities that will be use for the Games”.
Worth noting, PAGCOR is both a regulator of casinos and an operator of gaming facilities (Casino Filipino) in the Philippines.
