Okada Foundation donates US$2.9m in medical support to Davao Oriental
The charitable arm of Okada Manila has provided medical equipment and healthcare assistance.
The Philippines.- Okada Foundation (OFI), the charitable arm of Okada Manila, has donated PHP165m (US$2.9m) worth of medical equipment and healthcare assistance to Davao Oriental. The donation includes medical equipment for the Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center (DOPMC) and Super Health Centers in the municipalities of Lupon and San Isidro, as well as a customised mobile clinic for the Super Health Center in Lupon.
The ceremonial turnover was led by OFI president James Lorenzana, together with Dr. Reden V. Bersaldo, Provincial Health Officer II and chief of Hospital; Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go; Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang; and other provincial officials.
James Lorenzana, president of Okada Foundation, said: “Every Filipino deserves the opportunity to receive quality healthcare close to home. By working alongside healthcare institutions and local communities, we hope these resources will help healthcare professionals across Davao Oriental care for more patients, reach more communities, and improve the well-being of families throughout the province.”
