Lottery moves all operations and ticket sales online during Coronavirus lockdown in the country.

New Zealand.- Lotto NZ will stop retail sales and will carry out all ongoing operations online during the lockdown mandated by the government to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

“By operating online during the lockdown period we can continue to provide funding to NZ communities, many of which will need it now more than ever,” Lotto NZ CEO, Chris Lyman, said. 

The closures include Lotto NZ counters in pharmacies, dairies, petrol stations and supermarkets.

Lotto NZ exists to generate funding for New Zealand, with 100 per cent of profits going to over 3,000 good causes in local communities.

Lotto NZ is also a significant funder of Sport New Zealand, New Zealand Film Commission and Creative NZ.
