MGM China donates 100,000 childrens masks
Casino operator MGM China gives anti-pandemic supplies to Women’s General Association of Macau.
Macau.- Casino operator MGM China has donated a tranche of anti-pandemic supplies, including 100,000 children-sized masks and health-checking robots to The Women’s General Association of Macau.
The donation forms part of efforts to help the country overcome the Coronavirus crisis.
According to the Executive Director of MGM China, Pansy Ho, the health-checking robots, said to be ‘the first of its kind in the city’ are able to screen children’s body temperatures as well as their hands, mouth and eyes at the same time.
The health masks will be provided through the ‘Children’s Masks Distribution Scheme’ which allows local students aged 3 to 8 to get 10 complimentary masks after registering online during the period from April 11 to 15.
After no new cases of Coivd-19 were reported in Macau for 40 days as of mid-March, 34 new cases were have been confirmed, all of which are people that have traveled to Macau from overseas.
