Melco aligns with Macau operators on confirmed salary hikes

Melco Resorts became the fourth of Macau’s six casino operators to announce salary increases.

Macau.- Melco Resorts has followed Sands China, Wynn Macau and Galaxy Entertainment Group in confirming details for pay hikes. The increase would cover all full-time non-management employees in Macau and Hong Kong, effective from April 1.

Melco announced a 2 to 6.3 per cent salary increase for eligible staff. Employees earning a monthly base salary of up to MOP16,000 (US$1,990) will receive a fixed monthly increase of MOP500 (US$62), representing a raise of between 3.1 per cent and 6.3 per cent, depending on their existing pay level. Those earning more than MOP16,000 (US$1,990) per month will receive a 2 per cent pay increase.

We are pleased to implement this pay increase to recognise their commitment, dedication and hard work. As we look ahead to the opportunities in the coming year, we are committed to moving forward as a united and stable workforce.”

SJM Resorts, Sands China, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Wynn Macau, Melco and MGM China have also confirmed details of the usual new year one-month bonus for staff.
