Melco achieves accreditation from Responsible Gambling Council

Melco has received accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council for its casinos in Macau and the Philippines.

Macau.- Melco International Development has announced that it has been awarded third-party responsible gaming accreditation by the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC).

The RGC’s accreditation, which is valid for three years, is designed to show that casino venues comply with responsible gaming regulatory requirements. 

An independent panel of responsible gaming specialist checks that requirements are met before giving the certification. Melco is the first operator in Macau and the Philippines to meet all of the requirements.

Lawrence Ho, Melco chairman and CEO, stated: “We are committed to the development and maintenance of a culture of responsible gaming in every jurisdiction in which we operate, respecting and fully cooperating with international government and gaming regulators.”

Shelley White, CEO of the Responsible Gambling Council, said: “Responsible Gambling Council is proud to be able to support Melco’s efforts in player education, employee training and harm minimization with evidence-based best practices in areas of responsible gaming.”
