Macau: quarantine for arrivals from more Chinese cities
Macau has implemented the measure for people coming from an area of Shanghai after the city reported new cases of Covid-19 infections.
Macau.- Authorities in Macau have decided to impose quarantine on all visitors who have been in Zhangjiang Town, in Shanghai’s Pudong district in the 14 days prior to entering Macau.
The border measure will run until further notice after Shanghai reported five new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in the last three days. Three areas in Pudong have been designated as medium-risk areas.
A similar measure has been imposed for visitors arriving from the Administrative City of Manzhouli in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, where 300,000 local residents will be given nucleic acid tests after two Covid-19 infections were reported on Saturday.
The SAR already has quarantine requirements in place for visitors who have been in two subregions of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and the port area of the new Binhai area, in Tianjin.
