Macau casino Ponte 16 expansion plans go to public consultation

The public can provide input on plans to expand non-gaming facilities.

Macau.- The Land and Urban Construction Bureau has announced a public consultation on plans to expand non-gaming facilities at Ponte 16 casino resort. The consultation will run until April 30.

The planned expansion comes after the government approved changes to the land concession last November. Ponte 16, on the waterfront of Macau’s Inner Harbour, has been allowed to add a commercial building, plaza, and a ship named Macau Palace as part of the operator’s commitment to invest in non-gaming activities.

The new agreement allows Ponte 16 to develop an extra 9,217 square meters of land next to its current 9,424-square-meter property. Under the plan, existing buildings would remain at their current height, and any new buildings would be no taller than 20.5 meters.
