Landing appoints HK legislator as non-exec director
A Hong Kong legislator has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of casino investor Landing International.
Hong Kong.- The former legislator Abraham Shek Lai Him has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of casino investment firm Landing International Development.
The announcement was made to the Hong Kong bourse on Friday.
Shek has also been appointed as a member of the audit committee, the nomination committee and the remuneration committee. He will be entitled to HKD300,000 per year (US$38,707) in fees.
Mr Shek is an independent non-executive director at 17 other Hong Kong-listed public companies including SJM Holdings, Far East Consortium International, and ITC Properties Group.
Mr Shek is a veteran legislator in Hong Kong for the functional constituency representing the real estate and construction sectors.
Landing International promotes and operates Jeju Shinhwa World resort and foreigner-only casino on Jeju island, South Korea.
