Kangwon Land reports Q2 results
Net profit in the second quarter was down 62 per cent year-on-year.
South Korea.- Kangwon Land, South Korea’s only casino open to locals, has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025. The casino operator posted net profit of KRW 60.6bn (US$44.9m), down 62 per cent year-on-year.
Sales reached KRW360.7bn (US$258.9m), with casino sales up 8.6 per cent to KRW331.5bn (US$245.3m), driven by mass table and slot machine play. Non-gaming sales accounted for KRW29.2bn (US$21.6m), down 9.6 year-on-year.
Operating costs for the April-June period reached KRW 302.9bn (US$224.1m), up nearly 15 per cent, while operating profit reached KRW 58bn (US$42.9m), a 21 per cent decline. Net profit for the six-month period fell 46.3 per cent year-on-year to KRW136.38bn (US$97.9m).
