IEC identifies potential operator for Philippine online gaming ambitions
Hong Kong-listed International Entertainment Corporation is looking to enter the Philippines’ online gaming market.
The Philippines.- International Entertainment Corporation (IEC) says it has identified a potential operator partner for its planned entry into the Philippines’ online gaming market. According to a company filing, the group is currently in negotiations but no binding agreement has been reached.
IEC’s subsidiary, New Coast Leisure Inc., secured a Philippines Electronic (e-Casino) Games Operator licence in February 2025. It’s since been carrying out feasibility studies and exploring opportunities as it looks to expand beyond its established land-based casino operations in Manila.
As part of its due diligence process, IEC has engaged a Philippine legal adviser to evaluate whether the proposed operations comply with local regulations. In parallel, an international audit firm has been appointed to review internal control systems, including anti-money laundering measures. These assessments remain ongoing.
The company noted that any move into online gaming will depend on meeting regulatory requirements as well as Hong Kong listing rules.
