Grand Lisboa Hotel recognised in Chinese wine awards
The complex operated by SJM Holdings has received a prestigious prize for its selection of wines.
Macau.- The Grand Lisboa Hotel operated by SJM has been designated “Best Hotel Group Wine List – Outstanding” by China’s Wine List of the Year Awards 2020.
The recognition is for its selection of more than 17,000 wines at each of its signature restaurants.
The gaming operator revealed it has also received the title of “Best Luxury Fine Wine Cellar List” for housing more than 500,000 bottles of wine, as well as “Best Listing of German Wines”.
China’s Wine List of the Year Awards is a prestigious prize launched in 2012 to recognise and reward the best wine lists in hospitality throughout the Greater China region.
The Grand Libsoa Palace is the only complex in the world with four Michelin-starred restaurants under one roof.
Among other recognitions for the hotel, its director of food and beverage, Paul Lo was inducted into the Hall of Fame and invited to be a judge for the 12th China National Sommelier Competition.
For a second consecutive year, all four of the signature restaurants at Grand Lisboa – Robuchon au Dôme, The 8, The Kitchen and Casa Don Alfonso – earned the highest rating of the 3 Glass Award.
The Michelin three-star Robuchon au Dôme, which was first inducted into the highly coveted China’s Wine List of the Year Hall of Fame in 2013 has received the award eight years in a row.
