Goa sets up inspection unit to police online casino operators
Government creates special inspection team to enforce casino regulations.
India.- The Goa state government has created a special inspection team in order to enforce casino regulations in the country.
The decision crackdown comes after some offshore casino operators are believed to have breached licensing conditions which in turn is leading to a loss of revenue for the government.
The inspection team will reportedly consist of a handful of officials related to taxation, public works, pollution, and policing. The inspections will include both on-shore and off-shore casinos.
