GKL: Seoul casinos to remain closed until March 1

Grand Korea Leisure has extended the closure of its casinos in Seoul due to Covid-19 countermeasures.

South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure has extended the closure of its two foreigner-only casinos in Seoul, Gangnam COEX and Gangbuk Millenium Seoul Hilton, until 9am on March 1.

The two venues suspended operations on November 24. The extension comes as South Korea reports an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.

The company has not mentioned whether its third casino, the Seven Luck Casino in Busan Lotte, is affected. Seven Luck Casino closed its doors on December 1.

GKL reported a loss of KRW64.33bn (US$57.6m) in 2020 due to the closure of its venues under Covid-19 countermeasures.
