GKL extends Seoul casinos closure until March 15
Grand Korea Leisure has extended the closure of its two Seoul casinos for another two weeks due to ongoing Covid-19 countermeasures.
South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure has extended the closure of its two foreigner-only casinos in Seoul, Gangnam COEX and Gangbuk Millenium Seoul Hilton, until March 15.
Operations at the two casinos have suspended operations since November 24. It’s calculated that the closures will cost the company KRW42.78bn (US$38m) in lost revenue.
The company reopened its third casino, the Seven Luck Casino in Busan Lotte, on February 15, following its closure on December 1.
Grand Korea Leisure has reported a loss of KRW64.33bn (US$57.6m) during 2020 due to Covid-19 countermeasures.
South Korea has recorded 90,029 Covid-19 cases since January 3, 2020, an increase of 355 in the last 24 hours.
