Galaxy Entertainment Group has announced it will relaunch its voluntary resignation plan for certain employees.

Macau.- Eligible Galaxy Entertainment Group employees could access a new voluntary resignation scheme the company has recently announced.

Those interested in the program could receive a minimum one-off severance package of MOP270,000 (US$33,750), while director and manager level employees could be eligible for a MOP380,000 and MOP520,000 one-off sum respectively.

The company announced applications for the ‘New Life Starter Program’ will be open from January 13 to 21.

A Galaxy spokesperson told Macao Daily News the program wants to “assist team members to explore their career goals and start a new page of life again”.

It is not the first time the casino operator has launched a voluntary program. Last April, the company also announced a similar scheme, only available to directors and managers, with the same subsidy as this year.

Galaxy invests US$10m in corporate green bonds

As previously reported by Focus Gaming News, Galaxy Entertainment Group has announced an investment of US$10m in green bonds issued by Mingyang Smart Energy Group, a comprehensive solution provider for clean energy and the first private company in Macau to issue such bonds.

The proceeds from the bond issuance will be used to fund new green energy projects.

The bond issuance was listed on the Chongwa (Macao) Financial Asset Exchange Co., Ltd. (“MOX”) and was issued by the Bank of China Macau Branch (BOC Macau) as the joint global coordinator.

Galaxy Entertainment said the move aims to support the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the development of Macau’s financial market.
