DigiPlus reports US$14.9m Q3 net loss

Higher third-quarter net gaming revenue and EBITDA provided some relief as DigiPlus faced lower overall revenue and a valuation loss on its IEC investment.

The Philippines.- DigiPlus Interactive Corp has recorded a 12.5 per cent decline in net income to PHP8.85bn (US$139m) for the nine months ended September 30, 2026. In its November 3 filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the operator of BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone reported revenue of PHP45.75bn (US$718.8m), down 31.5 per cent from PHP66.83bn (US$1.05bn) in the corresponding period last year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) also decreased by 25.2 per cent to PHP8.33bn (US$130.9m).

The company recorded stronger operating performance in the third quarter compared with the previous three months. The company recorded a 3.5 per cent year-on-year increase in net gaming revenue to PHP5.19bn (US$81.6m). Meanwhile, EBITDA increased 0.3 per cent quarter-on-quarter and 39.6 per cent year-on-year to PHP2.85bn (US$44.8m), while the EBITDA margin reached 22 per cent, up four percentage points.

DigiPlus attributed the improvement in operating margins to lower direct gaming costs, tighter expense controls and more disciplined advertising and promotional spending. Average monthly active users increased 3 per cent from the previous quarter to 5.9 million, while monthly active bettors and depositors rose 5 per cent to 4.9 million.

DigiPlus reported a net loss of PHP947.58m (US$14.9m), compared with net income of PHP1.71bn (US$26.9m) in the same period of 2025. That included a PHP4.52bn (US$71m) fair-value loss on convertible notes issued by International Entertainment Corporation (IEC), in which DigiPlus holds an investment.

President Ping Chen said the company would continue investing in proprietary gaming content, customer acquisition and player retention while maintaining tighter control over promotional expenditure.
